Growing up as an athlete, Venus quickly adopted the mentality of wanting to arrive at each moment with excellence. Starting from how she would practice all the way to big competition moments.

It’s important to show up with intention to whatever you’re doing or trying to accomplish.This intention allows you to dial in and connect to your body’s movement.

When we are intentional with how we move our body not only in an exercise setting, but within everyday life and interactions things begin to shift for the better in all areas of our lives.

 

The Power to Decide

We get to decide who we want to be and how we show up in the world.

A starting place for transformation is movement within the physical body. Once we begin to move our bodies, we uncover other layers of ourselves and are able to heal and improve upon areas we weren’t aware of before.

 

How to Build Self-Love Through Movement

Venus’s number one step to self-love through movement is to build stability. his means starting out slowly and building confidence within yourself and your body.

Movement becomes second nature when you choose modalities that you enjoy.

Our body needs different types of movement at different stages, tune in to your body and provide it movement that helps you to release and decompress in the most valuable way.

When you identify with where you’re at physically and emotionally, you begin to build self-love.

About Venus Lau:

Venus Lau is known is a cover model, movement coach and fitness trainer specializing in rotational strength & flow since 2007 and located in Los Angeles.

She has coached professional athletes, other coaches & movement professionals, celebrities, physical rehabilitation, kids, geriatrics, your average Jill & Joe, and everything in between.

Venus has also been a guest speaker to kinesiology students at colleges and universities, and was a NCAA Division-1 athlete playing golf at Baylor University.

She is a leader in movement community would like so identify herself as someone who wants to teach others how to connect to them self through intentional movement.

She’s an Asian girl who broke out of her shy shell from Texas and moved to LA to be a comedy writer and ended up Thriving in the fitness world. She is know for bodyweight exercises & flow as well as strength training & kettlebell movement that gets you lean strong & mobile to keep you strong for life.
