Full Episode Transcript:
Hey, y’all Welcome back to The Decide It’s Your Turn podcast. Today I wanted to talk to you about something that I was actually kind of stirred right up about after listening to someone else’s podcast. And it also made me think about the long game in my business and what I do and how so many people are looking to come into the online space for a quick buck. And now this is not just the online space, this could be network marketing, this could be any brick and mortar business, to be honest with you. And something that I have found to just be super frustrating is when someone says that there’s one way to do something, or you should only do it this way. I’ll be honest with you, I was listening to this podcast, and I really liked the people who do the podcast like nothing against them. You would never know who I’m ever talking about. It’s a random podcast that I don’t listen to all that often. But I was listening to their recommendation of how they run their business. And how they said, Well, you know, just definitely make sure you don’t jump on too many calls with these people, because you definitely don’t want to make sure that you’re giving them too much of your time because you can’t scale. I literally was so frustrated at that moment. Because I feel that that is not our job as coaches. For those of you who are new to this podcast, you may or may not know, I do a lot of one on one coaching. I have women’s masterminds. I coach, both men and women. I host retreats. I have courses, all the things. But I do not believe there is only one way to do this business. And I thought that that was very disheartening for someone to say, “Well just make sure you don’t jump on a bunch of calls, because there’s no way to scale that.” And I just thought, Wow, that is horrible that you’re saying something like that. Because, like, let’s be honest, there are so many ways for you to serve people. And at the same time I believe that there’s always abundance in this world, and you can 100% figure out how to scale anything. And you know if that stops a person from doing something that they truly love doing. And, you know, you know if that stops a person from truly doing something that they love doing because they hear “Oh, I should never do a bunch of one on one calls because there’s no way to scale that” I find that that is very irresponsible in our industry. Because you know, a perfect example is my coach, who, you know, has almost a close to a seven figure business. And she’s almost exclusively one on one, she takes a percentage of her client’s business, which, you know, not very many people in our industry do that but she is a leader in that. And I am very happy to pay her a percentage of my business because she’s very good at what she does. And I love doing one on one calls in my business, my main
revenue. You know, my, you know, 20, 30 40,000 a month comes from doing one on one calls. And I have clients who literally think my job is the worst thing ever, because they would never want to do as many calls as I do in a month. But can we be honest here for a second? Just because it works for me may not mean that it works for you. But to say that that is not a way to scale, or a way to have a sustainable business. I’m going to be honest with you. If I only took my 21 on one clients, and made my $40,000 a month from those one on one clients.
Y’all, that is a ton of money and it gives me an amazing life. Like, let’s be honest here, if that is what sets my soul on fire. And if I only exclusively did one on one clients, and I impacted 20 people’s lives and then they went out and impacted in the way in which they wanted to impact. Y’all I am making a significant difference in the world and I should not be told that I can’t scale and have a great life and all the things. I also know too, that if I have unwavering faith that I am supposed to be making way more money than that and impact in a much bigger way. If I keep following the path, then I know for a fact I will be able to do so because if I am continuing to take action and the path to scale, even bigger will present itself. So I just think it’s very irresponsible for someone to say that there’s only one way to do it and be sure not to jump on as many one on one calls and don’t give one on one connection. You know, one of the biggest parts of the reason why I believe my one on one business is so successful and I have a month long waiting list to get in with me is I treat my one on one business, as if it is an athletic relationship. And what I mean by that coming from the background that I did, as a professional athlete in the golf industry, I knew that I wasn’t only going to have one bad day on the golf course for one hour that I needed my coach. I needed a coaching relationship and what that meant was I wanted connection with my coach at all times. I wanted them to be able to hear from me or see the videos or be able to connect with them. When I was having a good day or a bad day, or my swing felt off, there wasn’t only one hour in a week that I was going to need a coach. It was a relationship. And I think, you know, for my clients, especially whether it’s, you know, they’re coming to me for the confidence and the mindset and the business, or the purpose, or whatever they come to me. Whatever each individual comes to me for, they’re going to need a relationship with me, in order to truly, you know, grow as fast as they possibly can and fully step into who they are and fully step into their businesses. And I don’t regret for a second, that I allow my
clients to have access to me, you know, within reason. I have boundaries, all the things, I’m very strong in my boundaries. But overall, I love the fact that I have a connection. And I love the fact that, you know, I only keep a maximum of 20 one on one clients at a time because I want to be able to serve them. So at this moment 20 people, you know, a good thing for me, and perhaps in the future, does it look differently? Absolutely. I can pivot at any point in time, but I never want someone to step into what they’re doing and be told, “Oh, well, that way is never going to work. Because who knows how you can scale that?” I just think that’s very irresponsible of us in the industry to say that that’s a bad way of going about it. You’re right, if you want hundreds of clients, you’re definitely going to have to be able to figure out how to serve them in a different way. But I know for a fact, I love one on one coaching. My coach 100% she loves one on one coaching, and my God, she has a seven figure business doing it. I mean, I understand that, you know, there’s some people in this industry in this world that want to make, you know, hundreds of millions. And I don’t doubt that at any point in time, God can fast forward my life. And that’s an opportunity that I may have. But at this moment, I don’t step into doing something thinking, “Oh, my God, well, I don’t understand right now how I’m gonna get to $100 million. So I better not do that.” You have to have faith and action, and you have to keep following the path and know that if that is something that you want and if that is something in your future, that is possible. And you know, God has just poured into you to do that, then my gosh, absolutely, it will present itself. And perhaps the money you make in this industry, perhaps the money you make in the business allows you to diversify to make the hundreds of millions in other places, you know, the money that I make in my business, I can diversify in real estate with my husband or the stock market or investing in other’s businesses.
You know, just because I’m only making a certain amount of money in this industry doesn’t mean that I can’t make millions or hundreds of millions in another industry, if that is what I want to do. But it would be very irresponsible of me to say, Well, guess what, you probably shouldn’t do only one on one or you probably shouldn’t, you know, start that because there’s no way to scale that. I just think that that again is very irresponsible and I want someone out there who is perhaps thinking about doing one on one and has been told well don’t jump on too many calls. Don’t give them one on one attention. That’s in my opinion, some bullshit. Want to know why my business is so successful? lt’s because I do give a shit about my clients. I do pour into
my clients. I want to know when they’re having good days, bad days. I want to know the winds. I want to know where They’re stuck. I want to, you know, not only just be friends with these people, I care about my clients. And I’m not saying that someone who doesn’t do one on one calls, doesn’t care about their clients. But there’s not one way to skin a cat, there’s not one way to do something. And I just want everyone out there to hear that if you love one on one interaction, if you love being one on one with clients, that’s okay. And if you do not want to do one on one, because I have a ton of my personal clients who think my job absolutely sucks, and has absolutely no way that they could do something like I do on a daily basis. And that’s okay, too. There’s so many ways to do this, you guys, there’s so many ways, and this just does not only apply to those in the online space, this applies to everything. Like I truly believe the two things that will get you the furthest in life are faith and action 100%. And then the two things behind that are confidence and mindset. And that’s why most people come to me, most people truly believe that they’re coming to me, either for the business or, you know, figuring out how to like scale their business, or, you know, overall, honestly, a lot of people come to me for my energy and my confidence. Because my mindset is on lock, I’ll be honest with you. I’ve worked my fucking ass off to get to this place in the last 10 years. And I’m not telling you that I don’t have bad days, I’m not telling you that those fear mongrels don’t come in. I’m not telling you that there’s some days where I’m like, “Oh my god, am I on the right track?” But I know how to get myself out of that faster. I know how to get myself back into the mindset of “Absolutely 100% Christina, you will figure this the fuck out.” And a lot of that has to do with the work that I do on myself, the time that I take to, you know, journal every day, do my devotionals, get in faith, go for walks, you know, the number one thing over the last year that I have done that it probably saved me during, you know, obviously the pandemic. I have come out of the pandemic better than I ever have. But I’m not going to tell you that the energy of the world just doesn’t suck right now. Everything is heavy, you know, people are pissed off at like, you know, you can get pissed off at like a person looking at you the wrong way in this world right now. But physically moving my body, getting outside looking at the trees, going for a walk those things get me back to center. Having faith, surrounding myself with epic human beings. That gets me back to center too but my mindset and my confidence. My unwavering confidence that=I 100% will figure it out. That’s what sets me apart in this industry. That is absolutely 100% what will set you apart in your industry, what you’re doing in your relationships in your life, your
confidence, and your mindset is 100% what will set you apart in life. And if you can get those two things on lock, I don’t give two fucks what anyone else tells you on a podcast, even myself. You 100% know that you are confident in the thing that you’re doing and you will figure it out no matter what. No one will stop you. No one will stop you, but you have to work on that confidence and that mindset and blocking out what everyone else has to say. There’s people in this world that have done things that no one else has ever done. And that took a lot of guts and a lot of confidence to believe that they knew inside them with on wavering faith that they were going to figure it out. And that’s exactly the way that I feel. I truly believe you can take away the internet, you can take away this podcast, you can take away social media, I will fucking figure it out again. I know that I know that I know. And that has come from me having the confidence to do the small things every single day from me having the faith to take one more step forward. When I have absolutely no idea where it’s going to go. You guys I’m telling you right now that there is absolutely nothing in this world that you cannot do. So don’t let what one person on the internet has to say about their industry and their experience stop you from living your purpose stepping into your greatness because I will remind you time and time again on this podcast. That it is your responsibility to live your most purposeful life because you are here not for yourself. We’re here to bless others, you are here to give other people the inspiration, have faith, pour into other human beings. That’s what we’re here for. And so if you believe one on one with another human being is the way that you can absolutely live your most purposeful, profitable life, then do the one on one. And if you want to make hundreds of millions, keep taking the action and you will figure out the way. There’s nothing in this world that can stop you. Nothing. So start with one thing, start taking one step forward, and you have no idea when God can fast forward you from A to Z, overnight. It can totally happen in a blink of an eye you guys, but it takes you being confident. It takes you taking action, having that unwavering faith and knowing it is your responsibility to live that purposeful, profitable life.
