Not good news..

As most of you already know by following my scores on the LPGA website last week, I unfortunatly did not get my card.

Nothing went my way except for the second day and when I started well the 3rd day we were cut short due to rain and when I resumed my 3rd and continued to the 4th, after a whole day and half off, I struggled.

I want to thank everyone who supported me through this journey. I also want to apologize to those who I let down by not achieving my goal of the LPGA.

I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope 2010 brings great things.

Final Stage…

It’s just 9 days till the start of the 2010 LPGA Qualifying Final stage tournament and im so excited for the challenge!

It has been almost 7 weeks since the sectional qualifier in Venice and ever since I have been working to ensure im ready. I have played 3 mini-tour events and have been working with my swing coach as much as possible. I am so excited to say that he will be my caddy next week. His experience in many years playing as a professional himself and teaching some of the best players in the country is undoubtedly to my benefit. I cannot explain how much it means and how much it will help to have him there. His personality will make a world of difference keeping me calm and focused!

Again, I want to thank every single person that has helped me through this and previous years. Getting to this point would have never been possible. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I hope to be writing another “I did it” blog come December 8th!!!

Please feel free to follow my results on www.lpga.com starting december 2nd.

I DID IT!!!!

I DID IT!

It took two tries, but their was no way I was going to let it slip away again. I finished T18 in Florida and im going to LPGA FINALS! I’ve played really well this year and have been working extremly hard to get it done and I did it. It feels so good to be able to write this knowing what its taken to get this far and for all who have supported me in every way, I appreciate everyone of you.

I know the journey is far from complete and I will continue to work my butt off to get it done at finals. I have been there before and know what to expect, I know that I can get it done this year. I expect to be a fully exempt LPGA professional in 2010! I will do all I can to prove this a reality.

The last 3 weeks have been mentally and physically draining. It was a roller coaster of emotions, but I now know I can handle anything. I think it was meant to be to miss the top 30 in Palm Springs. I have proven to myself and others that I am good enough to get it done anywhere.

I have 7 weeks before finals in Daytona and I will be working hard on all aspects of my game. My plan is to continue to improve my long game and make my short game even stronger. I will also be working on physical and mental strenght. Thats what it takes! I will also be working to raise the needed funds to be able to do all I can to keep my game in shape, travel and play events between now and December. If anyone reading this blog knows of anyone who would want to sponsor my next 7 week journey to the LPGA please contact me ASAP. It will be a great opportunity to get some recognition in magazines, over the internet, and possibly recieve air time on the Golf Channel come final stage in December.

Thank you again to everyone!!

Lets try again…

Well last week I thought I had it no question! I felt very good, started well and felt positive all week. When I walked off 18 on the last day I thought surely I had made it, no problem…..I was wrong.

After 3 days of a lot of pouting, crying and being extremely mad I figured at least I got another chance this week. My goal is to stay as patient and as positive as I did last week and hope that putts will being to fall.

Thanks to all those who followed and whos hearts broke when I finished 31st!!!! Guess I just needed more practice and to empty the bank account fully before I make final stage.

Wish me luck and I hope to post “I DID IT” next Friday night.

Good things are happening..

Well the last few weeks have been pretty good! I have placed well in my last three events and I’ve given myself a chance to win and compete.

I finished 5th two weeks ago in Michigan. I gave it a good charge on the last day for a 69. Last week in Canada  I played very consistant golf; however I just didn’t make enough putts to content. Good news is that the field was very strong, 11 LPGA tour members competed, and I was only 2 shots away from another Top 10.

I’m currently back in Arkansas and will be taking the next 10 days to practice and work with my coach on a few things to get ready for Q School. This year Q School starts September 17th in Palm Springs, Ca. I’m looking forward to it so much this year and believe I probably have my best shot at contending to have at least a Top 10 finish there. In preperation for Q school I will be playing 2 Cactus Tour events which start Aug 31st in Phoenix. Im wanting to win those both!!!

Thank you again to those who support me and I will be asking for many prayers come Q school week!!

I’m Progressing…

Its getting better…

My last 3 events have gone better. Even though I have yet to win, the good news is that I have finally given myself a SHOT at contending and I have played progressivly better even in Canada.

My ball striking is finally coming around to where I can trust that where I want the ball to go, it goes. I feel confident that I can again hit 14-16 greens per round. I have always felt confident in my putting; however lately in final rounds I have been pushing too hard to make birdes happen and not just let them happen. The dreaded 3 putts have cost me dearly in my last few events due to trying to sink the first ones and then leaving 5-10ft, which as everyone knows dont go in every single time. However, even though im not happy with the end result finishes I do see my game progressing. I realize I need to be more patient!! I want it so much, but I think im finally getting that pushing does NOT work. My personality makes this a hard concept, but I know that without change it wont happen.

Right now I have 12 days off to work hard for my next events. I will be playing the Michigan Womens Open then after driving to Hamilton for the CPGA Womens Championship.

Since I did not qualify through the Canadian tour for the Canadian Womens Open in Calgary, I will do my best to finance coming up to Canada for the qualifier in August. I would love to be able to represent Edmonton and Canada in the only Canadian LPGA event.

Thank you again to all that support me!!! I appreciate it so much and I hope to make you proud of a winning professional soon.

updates

Well the last few days have been kind of rough.

Going into the last few weeks I felt my game was getting better and I was about ready to have a great season. I’ve been practicing hard and felt that my swing is finally getting to the place where I’m starting to trust it. I made it through to sectionals for the us open and I have had some positive rounds putting myself in contention for an event or two. However, I have been unable to close and stay in the game mentally. I obviously need to work harder off the course learning how to stay positive and in the moment.

I missed the open section by 5 strokes. I didn’t play well, but it wasn’t all a waste. I hit a lot of good shots and tried so hard to stay in the hunt. I just had too many big numbers and that golf course was as hard as it comes. What an amazing facility though. MIRAMONT in Bryan, TX, check it out what an incrediable place with a great golf course. Low round of both rounds was 77.

Up next is the Texas open and then back to Canada for the last event of their tour.

Thank you to everyone who supports me, I want to make everyone proud. I just don’t know when that will happen, soon I hope.

Thanks!

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to all the awesome people I have met over the past 10 days. I have been in 3 states and 2 countries playing and working events.

In Little Rock, thanks to ASHRAE you all were fantastic and the weather was perfect. Thanks to Dassault Falcon Jet, you all rocked and made an average weather day perfect. Thanks to Eric, you hosted a great event and we had so much fun.

In Denver thanks to Quintess for having me and for them rasing over 110 000$ for young life of boulder what a great cause and a perfect day. Im telling you now, Pete and Paul, you need a patten on “the ulimate putt”! Coolest way to raise A LOT of dough for a great cause.

Also just wanted to update those who are following my progress, I DID qualify for 2nd stage of the US Open yesterday in Austin. So you can hopefully hear good news after june 15 that I wil be playing in the Open!! Second stage for me will be in Bryan,Tx.

Thanks again to everyone who keeps up with my schedule and I hope to update good things after the Canadian tour event next week in Vancouver.
